Committee On Political Education

One of the most important things AFT Rutgers does is to help bridge the gap between policy makers in Trenton and Washington, DC and AFT members on campus. AFT Rutgers Committee On Political Education (COPE) is comprised of members who care about quality public education, funding for research and Rutgers and are willing to stand up for the jobs, health benefits and pensions.

Members meet with state and federal legislators to education, inform and advocate and talk to colleagues about which candidates support our issues.

AFT Rutgers COPE can financially support our efforts through a voluntary payroll deduction form. Contact your union representative today for more information about getting involved with COPE.
